I'm a former architect, and worked at a Baltimore design firm for nearly ten years before establishing an architectural photography practice in 2010. As such, I'm very comfortable with a team approach to creating images - I view my role as a guide, with the goal of translating design intent of the built environment into a well crafted two-dimensional form, preferably with the active participation of the client. I enjoy a more thoughtful, analytical approach to image-making and shoot with a technical camera system that ensures corrected perspectives and the highest quality file in the field - without relying excessively on computer intervention. I'd rather spend time getting it right "in camera". A lot of my work is centered in the education and healthcare markets, but I love tackling any project type. I find working in a variety of project scales and market sectors contributes a great deal to the improvement of my craft.
I've been fortunate to work with the firms below, among others:
Ayers Saint Gross
BKMA Engineering
Cho Benn Holback
Clark Builders Group
Clark Construction
